A Community of Life is a short piece I produced at the beginning of the 2013 summer.
“Residents at the Parkside and Park Plaza apartments (between Main Street and Park Blvd, one block north of Roosevelt Rd), which is home to many of the refugee & immigrant families in Glen Ellyn, received a letter this week informing us of a public meeting on June 17 at 7:00 PM at the Glen Ellyn Civic Center (535 Duane St.) to discuss a proposal for the creation of a “Tax Increment Financing” area that, according to the letter, “may reasonably be expected to result in the displacement of residents.” ”
